Overview

Investment Policy

The subfund will primarily invest in equity-like securities of companies that can benefit from demographic changes, including, but not limited to, the following subthemes: healthcare, sports & fitness, sustainable food, emerging-market consumers, urbanization, recreation, changing consumer habits, medical innovations, wealth transfer, automation, … There are no limitations or restrictions regarding currencies, geographic regions, or other specific economic or industrial sectors or niches.

The subfund invests in stocks and other equity-like securities of companies operating in developed markets and may also invest up to 49% in companies operating in emerging markets. The subfund must hold at least 90% of its net assets in equities. The subfund may invest in derivative financial instruments, such as futures, options, and forward currency contracts, to achieve its investment objectives and hedge risks.

Target Audience

This product is intended for investors who seek to generate income and capital appreciation and have a medium- to long-term investment horizon. The investor is able to withstand losses. This product is suitable for investors with basic to advanced knowledge of and experience with the product and the markets.

Investment Objective

The sub-fund’s objective is to provide investors with long-term capital appreciation on their investment through an actively managed portfolio. This objective will be achieved by investing the sub-fund’s assets primarily in stocks and other equity-like securities of companies that can benefit from demographic changes.

Danny Van Quaethem earned his degree as a financial analyst (ABAF). In 1997, he joined a major private bank. He worked exclusively as a financial analyst responsible for monitoring the stock markets, focusing on several sectors (pharmaceuticals, chemicals, consumer goods). Danny joined Econopolis in November 2018.

Stijn Plessers

Portfolio Manager

Stijn Plessers has 15 years of experience at KBC Asset Management, where he was responsible for managing a large credit and OTC derivatives portfolio before shifting his focus entirely to equities. In April 2023, Stijn joined Econopolis Wealth Management.
