Overview
Investment Policy
The sub-fund invests primarily in either equity positions of issuers that have their headquarters in emerging markets and/or are listed on stock exchanges in those markets, or that have significant economic exposure to such markets, or in equivalents of equity positions (such as participatory notes or similar instruments with exposure to hard-to-access markets comparable to that of equities) and cash or cash-equivalent instruments.
The fund invests at least two-thirds of its assets in shares of companies or issuers that have their registered offices in emerging markets or conduct a significant or growing portion of their business there. There are no limits or restrictions regarding currency or other specific economic or industrial sectors or niches.
Target Audience
The subfund is suitable for retail and institutional investors who view an investment fund as an easy way to invest in emerging market trends. However, investors must have experience with volatile investments. Investors must be able to withstand significant temporary losses and have a minimum investment horizon of 5 years.
Investment Objective
The sub-fund’s objective is to provide investors with long-term capital appreciation on their investment through an actively managed portfolio. This objective is achieved by investing the sub-fund’s assets primarily in equity instruments of issuers that have their headquarters in emerging markets and/or are listed on stock exchanges in such markets, or that have significant economic exposure to such markets.
