Investment Policy

The sub-fund invests primarily in stocks and other equity-like securities of companies that operate (wholly or partially) in the technology and communications services sector. The sub-fund invests in stocks and other equity-like securities of companies operating in developed markets as well as in companies operating in emerging markets. The sub-fund may invest in stocks and other equity-like securities selected on the basis of ongoing financial evaluations, analyses of the macroeconomic environment and the specific profile of the issuer, future developments, etc. There are no restrictions regarding currencies or geographic regions.

With regard to investment themes, the investment manager focuses on exponential technologies that have a disruptive impact on society and the business world, as well as on communication services, including, but not limited to, the following subthemes: artificial intelligence (AI), augmented and virtual reality (AR, VR), data science, cloud computing, IoT, digital biology, nanotechnology and digital manufacturing, networks and computer systems, robotics, and autonomous vehicles

Target Audience

The Subfund is suitable for retail and institutional investors who view an investment fund as an easy way to participate in developments in the financial markets. It is also suitable for more experienced investors who wish to achieve specific investment objectives with an investment horizon of more than 5 years.

Investment Objective

The sub-fund’s objective is to provide investors with long-term capital appreciation on their investment through an actively managed portfolio. This objective will be pursued by investing the sub-fund’s assets primarily in stocks and other equity-like securities of companies that are (wholly or partially) active in the technology and communications services sector, with no geographic restrictions.

Siddy Jobe

Portfolio Manager

Siddy Jobe earned a Master’s degree in Applied Economic Sciences from the University of Antwerp and a Master’s degree in Financial Management from Vlerick Business School, supplemented by an Executive Master’s in Venture Capital from the Berkeley Haas School of Business. Prior to joining Econopolis, he headed the Investor Relations & Treasury department at Orange Belgium for six years and worked as a Telecom, Media & Technology analyst at Bank Degroof from 2005 to 2012.

Matisse Cappon

Equity Analyst

Matisse Cappon earned his Master’s degree in Finance & Risk Management from Ghent University in 2023. He then completed an Advanced Master’s in Banking & Finance at the same university. He wrote his master’s thesis on market timing and active asset allocation in collaboration with Nationale Nederlanden. Matisse joined the Econopolis fund team as an equity analyst in November 2024.
